The continuing adventures of Dixinator and Tuckermonster

Its been awhile since I posted so I thought I'd give you an update on the thrilling life of Tucker & Dixie. We've had a couple little bumps in the road. Dixie had an abscess in her ear that burst (leaving behind a nasty wound that needed stitches) so she had to be in the come of shame for awhile. We also had an overnight visit from my brother and his six-month-old puppy Phoenix. It was quite an experience, Phoenix brought out Tucker's rambunctious side and they played constantly for 24 hours. Tucker was pretty pooped when she left. Here's a few of my recent pictures of Tucker & Dixie and, of course, the snow (which has taken over our lives in the last couple months.)

I am taking some time off work right now due to ongoing health issues so I've been spending lots of time with Tucker & Dixie. We like to curl up together on the chaise lounge part of our new leather couch. They are so vital when I'm sick to keeping my spirits up. I don't know where I'd be without them. And since I've been bored, I've taken a few shots of myself and I thought I'd share them here in the interest of full disclosure. Don't mind the excessive editing - I've been having a bit too much fun with Instagram's editing tools. (Check out my Instagram here if you would like.)

Accessorizing is important

It was a rough week around chez Dogs-by-erin, but I got these two shots of Tucker and Dixie (using my iPhone) and I am a big fan.

"Mom, I think this scarf is a little big for me."  Don't worry Dixie, plaid makes you look amazing.

Put Tucker in the polka dots because DAMN the patriarchy.😋

I got some great Vines of Bell and I thought I'd share them with you to brighten your Thursday afternoon. I mean, whose day isn't brightened by a pit bull wandering around with a pink monkey wrapped around her neck?

Adopt. Don’t Shop. No one will ever love you more than a dog you give a forever home.
— Me. Ha.

Fetch was a bit of a challenge - she's still learning.

But she's TOTALLY getting sit.

Dogs By Erin now on Instagram

I've started an Instagram account for EDF Photography. It won't be entirely dogs, but if you'd like to check it out go to Dogs_By_Erin on Instagram.

And in other news, it looks like I'll be doing my first doggy portrait session this weekend for a doggy just entering foster care with PAWS New England, the rescue where we adopted Tucker. I can't wait to volunteer my time and skills (such as they are) to hopefully help this puppy find her forever home just that much quicker. And I hope to do it many more times after this!

Because remember, when it comes to pets, ADOPT don't shop.

Dogs And light

This morning there was amazing light in our sun room and of course the dogs decided to model on the couch (otherwise known as hogging the blankets and stealing my spot to boot!) But I got a few new gorgeous pictures out of it, so I forgave them.
